Our Journey: Building Praise and Pour Coffee


Starting Praise and Pour Coffee LLC has been one of the most exciting and challenging journeys we’ve ever embarked on. As we work tirelessly to bring our dream to life, we wanted to share some personal milestones and behind-the-scenes moments that have shaped our path so far.

The first major milestone was officially forming our LLC. It felt surreal to sign the paperwork and see the name "Praise and Pour Coffee LLC" become a legal entity. This step solidified our vision and gave us the foundation to build something meaningful. With our LLC in place, we secured our South Carolina Business License, opening the door to opportunities in our local community. Each small step brought us closer to making our dream a reality.


Alongside the legalities, we dove into the logistical details. One of the most exciting moments was pre-ordering our trailer. After months of research, phone calls, and exploring design options, we finally found the perfect builder to craft our coffee trailer. Knowing that our trailer is in production has made everything feel more tangible. Every time we envision it pulling up to a local event, it fuels our excitement.

As we’ve worked through the process, we’ve also focused on building our online presence. We’ve secured multiple domain names to ensure we can reach our audience and build a strong digital footprint. With our website underway, we’re confident it will serve as a hub for sharing our story and connecting with the community.


Another big step was acquiring business insurance. Though not the most glamorous part of the journey, it’s one of the most important. Knowing that we’re protected gives us peace of mind as we move forward. To complement our growing brand, we designed and ordered business cards and loyalty cards. Seeing our logo on a physical card for the first time was a proud moment. These tools will help us connect with customers and build lasting relationships. Of course, a coffee business wouldn’t be complete without the right equipment. We recently received our espresso machine, grinder, and a variety of essential tools. Unpacking these items felt like Christmas morning! Each piece of equipment represents a step closer to creating the perfect cup of coffee for our future customers. We’ve spent hours learning about the machines, testing them, and fine-tuning our skills to ensure everything is just right when we open.


Through all of this, we’ve learned so much about perseverance and patience. There have been days when the to-do list felt endless, but we always reminded ourselves why we started this journey. The support from friends, family, and our community has been incredible. Every encouraging word, prayer, and offer to help has meant the world to us.


As we look ahead to opening day on March 1st, 2025, we’re filled with gratitude and anticipation. There’s still a lot to do, but each day brings us closer to sharing our love for coffee and community with the people of Sumter, SC, and beyond. Thank you for being part of our story.
